Our story
Why we bought N431RM, and why it's your turn to take the controls
We are a family, not a dealer. We bought this Archer so our son could build flight time safely, and now it is ready for the next owner.
Our son has loved airplanes since he was four years old. He pointed out every airplane that flew overhead, and he taught himself to identify jets by watching YouTube.
He started flight lessons at 15 and earned his private pilot certificate before his driver's license. When he set his sights on an airline career, we knew he would need a lot of flight time, and we wanted that time to be in an airplane we trusted.
We searched for nearly two years. One older Piper looked promising until a pre-buy inspection, after which the mechanic told us he would not be comfortable with our son flying it. We walked away, and it taught us how much a careful pre-buy matters.
N431RM was different. It had been with one owner since new, and its complete maintenance records gave us confidence. We bought it in May 2025 in Billings, Montana, and brought it home.
Owning the airplane meant our son could fly whenever the weather was good, without working around a rental schedule or paying rental rates. A CFI for almost two years, he flew it solo and with fellow instructors and pilot friends, building flight time and plenty of memories along the way. Many of those flights followed an old aviation tradition, the "$100 hamburger": pick a distant city, fly there for a meal, and come home with another cross-country in the books. In 15 months he logged over 400 hours in N431RM, and he reached the flight hours he needed just four months after earning his aviation degree.
N431RM is ready to give its next owner the same freedom to fly.
